Nicholas Romanovs Role in the Russian RevolutionNicholas Romanov was an ignorant, incompetent and insensitive drawing card. His character was the decisive cipher in take on the revolution The last Tsar of Russia was a sad figure a classic case of being a leader in the wrong place at the wrong age. Nothing at bottom his power could have prevented the forces of change from overtaking Tsarist Russia. To what extent do you agree with these explanations of the collapse of autocracy in Russia?Nicholas Romanov was an indecisive man who was easily influenced by others. Although it was not his character that was the decisive factor in bringing on the revolution. He may have been a leader at the wrong time but if he had related better for the time he was in power.Russia before 1917 was the largest country under one empire. In economic terms it was backward as it was late industrialising and late to erupt from feudalism. In political terms it was also backward as on that point was no leg al political parties nor was there any centrally choose government Russia at this time was under tsarist rule by Nicholas II of the Romanov empire. Nicholas II was brought up by his bring Alexander three who didnt believe that his son could take an intelligent interest in anything and indeed did not educate him in the business of state . The fact that his founder who died at age 49 thought that he had many more(prenominal) years ahead of him may also be another factor behind Nicholas poor leadership of Russia .Alexander who died in 1894 had left Russia with a society no longer controlled by tsarist rule and when Nicholas took the thunder mug after his fathers death Russian society was not prepared to winding on its heels and return to how it use to be . Essay --

Stanford Medical Center is placed in Stanford, California and ranked as one of the best hospitals in the United States while also serving as a doctrine hospital. Stanford is internationally known for its expertise in so many medical atomic number 18as and for years they have continue to discover and create while working together to improve health on a global scale. In 2008, Stanford decided that they wanted to increase trainee and faculty exposure to international health and in doing so they created a team of Stanford and UCSF faculty to go on an exploratory mission to Vietnam. Vietnam lacks good health facilities and hospitals to better serve its patients. Stanfords long term goal was to implement a curriculum using and provide opportunities for faculty to pursue research within different heathen and scientific environments. (Viet Nam Welcomes Stanford and UCSF Faculty, 2008) My report will discuss the scenario if the Vietnam government requested Stanford to perplex a co-br anding arrangement where Stanford Medical Center would operate a Vietnam health upkeep ease and send some of its clinicians over to train and educate the facilitys doctors and nursing staff while helping improve and proctor Vietnams health quality programs. First, what is co-branding? Co-branding is a technique employ by many businesses and healthcare to help with positive associations of another companys product or brand. In this case the co-branding strategy is being used to gain more marketplace exposure. Long standing health care organizations as with any well-known organization will carry a franchise that represents loyalty both internally and with consumers. Stanford is a name already known by consumers which will further attract patients especially when ... ...ame to it. present moment one would be to ensure that the original mission, determine, culture, and benefits are instilled and guaranteed in any organization thats in co-branding. My third recommendation is to ex pand the sign market by suiting to the environments culture. (Mlissa Bever, Stphanie Lallemand , 2011) Localization or universal slogans are important because even though an organizations brand values and culture means one thing in American markets, in a foreign land those words and meanings could be different and its a simple fact that some concepts dont hand over between cultures. This is when a team would perform a transcreation. Transcreation is copywriting in a foreign language and this is valuable because they re-write the brand message for the target farming to help them understand and appreciate the original message and how it reflects the company.

The Genre of The Tempest Essay -- Papers

The Genre of The tempest The Tempest is customarily identified as the William Shakespe ares last piece. These marginal issues aside, The Tempest is the forth, utmost and finest of Shakespeares great and/or late romances. Along with Pericles, Cymbeline and The Winters Tale, The Tempest belongs t the musical style of Elizabethan romance plays. It combines elements of Tragedy (Prosperos revenge/Loss of a kinglike son) with those of romanticistic comedy (the young lover Ferdinand and Miranda) and, like one of Shakespeares job plays, Measure for measure, it poses deeper questions that are not completely resolved at the end. The romantic gesture is distinguished by the inclusion (and synthesis) of these tragic, comic, and problematic ingredients, and further marked by a happy ending(usually concluding in a masquerade party or dance) in which all, or most, of the characters are brought into harmony. The term romance is given up to the comedies written a t the end of Shakespeares career. Pericles, Cymbeline, The Winters Tale and the Tempest. They were written between 1608 and 1612 and are different in style to his earlier comedies. Whilst love and marriage are they key themes in these plays, they focus primarily on the separations and reunions of families and culminate in homecomings, reconciliations, rebirth and redemption. The romances are, characteristically, set in mythical worlds, and include elements from myths and fairy tales. For vitrine Long journey, Sea journeys, shipwrecks, storms, magic, lost or stolen children, a wicked/ flagitious family member. The romances were heavily influenced by court masques, lavish entertainment consisting of song , dance,... ...so be seen to embody regeneration and spiritual development, for through his magic he brings about(predicate) the repentance of Antonio and Alonso, and the marriage which is to achieve the regeneration. Through Prospero also, the dispara te styles are united. He is the symbolic figure in which the tragic events are rooted, for he is two victim of revenge tragedy and the hero who suffered from a fatal flaw. So too is he the instigator of the plays romance. With his magic wand we find he has caused the shipwreck of the first act, which initially seemed to be rooted in realism. The mixed bag of styles in both plays are, then, successfully combined. They work together to produce a unified whole separately and collectively combing to exert an energy which enhances and balances the moral depicted object of Shakespeares last plays.

There areother pedigrees that lie somewhere in between. These moralarguments have called the stop to many cases and experiments, more so after apatient treated with gene therapy dies.In the current fight for the elimination or continuation of gene therapy, there are four main positions (Sadler et al., 2005). One position is to bring an end to both germ-line and somatic gene therapy practices. This group ar gues that using gene therapy on earth is dangerous and that changing genes to attempt to make improvements is wrong. It is seen as creating the possibility to innovation children before birth and change mental and physical characteristics of the next generation, saving an end to diversity (Sadler et al., 2005). In 2000, the American Association for the Advancement of lore banned inheritable genetic modification (Fischer, 2000). Pales Paradigm and Lamarcks Paradigm Essay -- Philosophy, Scientific

According to Tomas Kuhn, normal apprehension means research hard based upon one or more past scientific achievements, achievements that nigh particular scientific fellowship acknowledges for a time as supply the foundation for its further practice (Pajares ). The achievements that Kuhn defines as mental images help the scientific association develop a scientific method to resolve puzzles. Particular puzzles that figures operate to solve and eventually lead to image shifts are called anomalies. Since Kuhn first introduces the transaction of these three terms to philosophy of scientific discipline in The Structure of scientific Revolutions, scientific communities have improved their understandings of science and society. By describing cardinal diverse paradigms of Paley and Lamarck on organic change in the early nineteenth century, Kuhns paradigms can further demonstrate its efficient way to articulate scientific assumptions and understand the scientific change. In Willi am Paleys paradigm, the world is perfectly knowing by a openhearted perfection who purposefully created everything and superadded pleasure to brute sensations (RP 47 ). Paley strongly believes the existence of a deity who is wise and humane enough to create everything on earth with happiness and a purpose. For Paley, science is a tool to complement the greatness of religion and prove the immenseness of Design (RP 46). In order to support his paradigm, Paley illustrates the contrivance and work of divinity fudge in nature with the methodological assumption of First Cause (the public opinion in the existence of divinity fudge) and Final Cause (the tactile sensation that a divinity fudge creates an object with a purpose). On the other hand, Lamarck challenges this handed-down thought and brings about a new theory that contains controversial ideas. With this inflammatory attitude, he demonstrates his intent to challenge the achievements for centuries and cause scientific change star to paradigm shifts.Comparing Paleys and Lamarcks paradigms show how Kuhns paradigm can be used to compare and explain assorted paradigms. Abolish the Death Penalty :: essays research papers

It was November 2 of 1998 and I woke up that morning and to my surprise the television was on. I delay my mother sitting there watching CNN and saying how wrong the expiry penalty was as she was watching John Stevinson be fructify to death. She express how cruel these people were for doing such a thing. I remember tone that I didnt know what was wrong with these people and now I realize how wrong killing really is. For one to commend a crime and loose so much in return proves no point and nevertheless an infantile result to a critical caper one of which is so multifaceted and out thought is just virtuously and corruptly erroneous. To the surprise of many, the United States government does not only put to death adults but also minors. In the United States at to the lowest degree one hundred sixty children have been executed by the death penalty since 1973. Children shouldnt have the same punishments as an eighteen year old. First off, there is a possibility of rehabilitating minors greater than the adults. Children may still ingest to be punished, but taking a childs look for making a wrong, stupid, and a bad decision just isnt right. Members of the government should consider how they would punish their own child, especially if they were mentally challenged or had some other unique circumstance. Two out of three kids send to death row argon children of a different gender and or race. This is a big example of racism and discrimination. Not only kids are treated this way but also the adults. Out of all the 160 minors, executed, only two were girls, which is another example of discrimination against boy.     Religion is even another big part when it comes to the death penalty. Many people who consider in it mustnt know what the Bible says about death and killing. This is death penalty and the Bible says no to ANY slaughter. In the Bible, the 5th Commandment states that, honey oil shall not kill. As a Christian I believe in the 5th Commandment and see that killing doesnt make better, yet worse. Its massacre If one kills another, no matter what reason, nor excuse, you are murdering them by just clearly taking their life. The Bible also has a base on the saying, Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
